Information, not advice
NordicPay publishes explanations, tables and worked examples about salaries, collective agreements and taxation in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The content is journalistic and educational. It is not tax, legal, financial or immigration advice and does not take your personal circumstances into account. For anything consequential - a contract negotiation, a tax return, a relocation decision - consult the relevant authority, a qualified adviser, or both.
Estimates and measurement differences
Salary figures come from official statistics and named collective agreements, but the four countries measure differently: monthly wages excluding overtime in Sweden, November wages with and without supplements in Norway, hourly rates and total earnings in Denmark, and regular monthly earnings in Finland. Take-home examples are estimates for a typical single taxpayer and will not match your payslip exactly. Tax rates change with each budget; verify current figures with Skatteverket, Skatteetaten, skat.dk or Vero before acting.
Accuracy and sources
We make reasonable efforts to keep figures accurate, dated and sourced, and to say so when a number is a hedged range rather than an official statistic. However, we do not warrant that the site is complete, current or error-free, and we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on it. Where our numbers and an official source differ, the official source governs.
Intellectual property and use
The site text and design are the property of NordicPay. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. You may not republish whole pages, present our content as your own, or use the site commercially without permission. Quotations from legislation, collective agreements and official statistics remain the property of their publishers.
